We’re seeing many different influences this Autumn when it comes to hair colour says Pure Hair Director, Laura Kenney. We’re clearly not ready to say goodbye to the dip-dye look just yet which remains a firm favourite with clients and celebrities. And anything goes when it comes to the ombre fade out… so let’s experiment and find your signature style – from the bold to the beautifully subtle.
Pastels are still strong and have moved on from the palest of pinks. If you’re blonde, and thinking about a colour change, try a fashion forward soft peach or a delicate lavender instead.
It’s all about glamour for the festive season. The magazines and catwalks are awash with high-shine, glossy, chic colour. Embrace this look with multi-tonal colours – think golden sun-kissed blonde with honey undertones, warm caramel brown spun with copper and rich russets flecked with gold. The look is highly individualized. Red-carpet, Hollywood glamour at its very best.
And let’s not forget styling…
When it comes to cuts the fringe is big, big, big this Autumn. “I’m loving a full-fat fringe on a cute 1950’s bob (as seen at Burberry) or a soft, flirty eye-skimming one.” says Laura.
And finally, she suggests “Take a dramatic turn for your Christmas party hair. Pump up the va va voom volume with back combing and curls for looks that kill.”
